The last pictures:

the sand pin I used was this:

Zand Lab(84.31,6.00,27.00) pin to color ;

There was also brightness in this sandpin.

I corrected if nessecarry the Brightness in Lab mode.

What do you think of the results and perhaps who has a suggestion how I can make it better.
I said earlier, I have lot of Sandsculptures from earlier years, which must be bettered!

That day, when I taken the pictures, there was sun and cloudy sky.
Every picture has a different sandcolor. Strange is that.
The older sandsculpture pictures from years ago has the same effect. Also with different camera's. I never succeeded, to make the pictures with the same basic sandcolor.
I have tried your 'lab'-curves with the picture you used first.
Strange that you maked the brightness darker. The sand is indeed river-sand from dutch rivers, but has not the deeply yellow-braun color. It has more the color from the orginal picture 4.
This is why I made the sand-pinfile from the leg of picture 4.

I'll add this to the challenge gallery.  The size you provided is just right.

Have you considered saving your images to CD?

Mike,
I save always my images to CD.
I make DVD's from my grandchild. (Till a week , I have now 2 grandchilds)
Also I make DVd's from my vacations and on these DVD's , I place the images.
But not the orginal images. After working of the material,I thrown  away the orginals.

Hi Frits.  Obviously you're a good photographer.  Even though you have not asked for advice, as a friend, I recommend that you consider archiving your original images to CD.

After all, as you get better at Photoshop, you can go back and improve your images, yes?

Mike

In the earlier days I hoped so. But after maried and get children , I have not to much time to spent on photography.
I don't think, I have such a artistic talent as some others.
When you are alone, you can spent al lot of time to "SEE" the photo you like it, to make.
I have not "that" time anymore.
The sandscultures, where made through iron railings and was difficult.
And of course , I was not alone. I could not spent the time , I like it.

But the sandcoloring problem persist.
I am curious to the solutions of others.
