Image1 taken directly after a serious thunderstorm and lots of hail. Image 2 is a close-up of the wall of the house with a grey card.

Here's my effort. Problem is the blue reflection from the very angry clouds overhead

Greg, I used a false profile, Gamma 1.4 to lighten the image before I crossed the PPW river via CM.
Do you use false profiles or is it outdated nowadays. I sort of knows what it does, but I'm  not always sure where and when to use it. It's more a shot in the dark approach for me :P

I looked at it that way as well.
This one needs that much or even a touch more.  Maybe some Shadow Highlights work as well as the Gamma.
I have tried it a few different ways and so far you are farther ahead in Luminosity.

I hope others join the discussion it would be good to have a few more opinions...

Hi
I decided to have a go

Here is my effort
the masking was a little haphazard but I decided not to put lots of time in fixing masks
I was unsure how much to lighten the hail as the quality did not really let me see when I was losing detail
it looks a bit weird but sometimes things do after a storm

Was it at all close ganna?

Congrats, both images shows a big improvement. Genf, as you can see from your image 2, which is the colour of the wall of the house, the wall colour is a little bit light in your image. In this respect, Julie's image is closer. I just think the clouds should be a bit more "angry looking" in both images. Julie I like your correction of the hail on the lawn :)

How interesting that two new versions are posted on the same day.
Now that I see Julie's version, the hail in my correction is definitely too colorful and not light enough. I prefer the greenery in my version though.
I had missed the hint that the second image showed the wall of the house with a grey card.
Here comes my next attempt, having adjusted the color of the house and the hail.
