Special Curves...

Do you have a systematic way to process your images?

Hopefully you know about the Dog Leg and the Lizard tail....
Do you have any other "special curves" you find yourself using?

I don't know what you'd call it, but when trying to change one half of an A/B curve I lock one half down, then bend the other half. You end up with a curve that's perfectly straight until the midway point, from where it abruptly goes off at a different angle.

Of course, I say 'midway point' but I mean the point of the neutral, which may or may not be exactly midway.

That sounds like a modified dog leg...just for A or B in LAB.

How about contrast pins? 
Do you use them to adjust color contrast in Lab?
Have you ever used them to move a color "Area" ?

How often do you use an inverted S curve to reduce contrast?
