Hi Mike,

If you have a moment, I have a (silly?) question that I can not work out the answer to (nothing new there!).

If I use PS levels, I can adjust the midpoint slider to shift the tones to be lighter or darker.

What I can not work out is how to do exactly the same thing with Curves - am I being stupid or is it impossible?

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

You can get very close to Levels by moving the center of the curve diagonally sideways, rather than up and down.  This will not be an exact match because Levels uses an exponential function, and curves uses a polynomial spline, which gives slightly different numbers.
