I have set up a 64 bit development environment, and begun to make the 64 bit version of Curvemeister.  With luck, this could be done in the next week or so.

Thanks.

Just a status.  I've set up the necessary hardware and software, and made substantial progress with porting some of the components of Curvemeister over to 64 bit.  The process is partly clerical - changing things to get them to compile under the new compiler, and a few head scratchers: functions that have been changed in ways that require significant changes.

I cant' give a definitive date for completion - I had estimated two weeks ago, but other items, including the recent beta releases, needed to be cleared up before I could really proceed with the new 64 bit code line.

Here's hoping for a 64 bit beta release in the next two weeks.

Thank you very much for the update.
You are still ahead of the "curve" judging by the number of my plugin that have no schedule as even when they would start the conversion  ;D

Good luck and all the best for the work ahead of you...

Cheers,

Luc.

Thanks.  I'll keep you posted.

I'm surprised at how long it is taking other companies to pick up the ball on 64 bit.  This is the first time that Adobe has "pulled the plug" on Windows plug-ins, so many companies have been caught off guard.

Hello,

Any 64 bit news with the New Year?

Happy New Year 2009.

Hi Luc,

No news yet.  I'm stuck on a particularly "interesting" bug, and holiday and family activities have been particularly distracting, as is usual this time of year.  More news hopefully in the next day or two.

I now have a 64 bit version that is beginning to run in Photoshop - it is not usable yet because of a crash during final processing.  I'm working on this problem and *hope* to have a beta to try soon.

Thank you very much for the heads up.
I had an unrelated question.
Without revealing the secret of Curvemeister, is there a way for you to add some unsharp mask option on the L* channel while in CM.
I am not sure if internally CM goes to Lab* and back or not.
I was just thinking that it is one of the think that is nice to do in Lab*.

Cheers,

Luc.

This is an excellent idea - definitely grist for the mill for Curvemeister 4.
