Will Curvemeister run in the 64 bit of CS4?

Not yet.  I plan to have a 64 bit Curvemeister 3 by Nov 15, however this could change.  I will announce any changes in schedule in this thread.

There will be no additional charge for existing owners of Curvemeister 3.  Curvemeister 1 and 2 will work with 32 bit CS4 only.

That would be great also looking forward to have CM working in CS4 64 bit.

Cheers,

Luc.

I just installed CS4 over the weekend.  What I noticed is that the program recognized that I was running Vista 64.  What I didn't notice is that it installed two versions of Photoshop (apparently) and two .exe files for CS4, one in the 64-bit ....Program Files folder, and one in the ....Program Files (x86) folder (the 32-bit stuff).  I dragged an icon for each onto my desktop.  The 64-bit version Photoshop.exe file is 60,828 KB and the 32-bit version is only 49,650 KB.  Same filename, Photoshop.exe.  What I can also tell you is that the 64-bit Photoshop loads from my desktop icon in less than 2 seconds, although I have a very fast, newly built computer.  Incredible in Vista 64!

The question, then, is will Curvemeister run under the 32-bit version of CS4?  I'm not about to try it and mess something up.

Curvemeister is running under the 32 bit already - I use it with CS4 on Vista 64 bit. Of course what I am waiting for is for it and other plugins to run on the 64 bit CS4.

Cheers,

Yep - 32 bit should be fine.  64 bit is on the way as I can make it happen.

Great to hear you're on this ball, Mike! I'm on Vista x64 (which is an excellent OS, really) and plan on getting the CS4 apps sometime in November. That the x64 installer seemingly automatically installs both the 32 and 64 bit versions is neat, as we all have a lot of 32-bit-only plugins. I can only hope the other vendors will follow Mike's generous example and not bleed us badly for the x64 versions -- but I'm not banking on it.

The only issue is that whatever you do, the 64 bit will be open by default instead of the 32 bit. Drplets also lokk for the 64 bit and do not work very well even with the 32 bit already open. So as soon as CM and Focus Fixer are on 64 bit - live will be easier....

And yes thanks to Mike for great support in advance...

Hello,

Any update on CM 64 bit?
As soon as available I will get rid of CS4 32 bit as CM is the only plugin I "cannot live without".

Thanks.

Luc.
