Can someone fix the forum server please!

Have an installation or other curvemeister related problem? Ask your question here and it shall be answered.

I'm getting loads of '500 Internal Server Error's reading from and posting to these forums. It took me about 4 goes to post my last message. Is it just me? I doubt it - I don't think the macine is happy.

Chris said he hasn't either, but I must have had a dozen or more today. They'll be in the server logs...

There are only 5 errors from today in the logs...No 500's that I can see...

I just did a search of the support forum for the software (SMF) used to run this forum.

The 500 server error can happen randomly when the site uses too much processor - this could be a bug in the forum software, or a matter of the server being bogged down and running out of resources.

As Greg says, the error logs don't seem to record the error 500's.  There's not a lot we can do except wait for it to rear its head again.
