Steve,

RE:  BTN...I do that too; good catch I'll make sure it's in there somewhere.

RE: Too much color... There is a saturation threshold feature in HSB you can try to help you find over saturated colors.  The mask shows areas with 0 or 100 % saturation it is the same as the Highlight and shadow thresholds.  Saturation is really pretty easy.  I saturate and look at the details.  If I start to lose shape, form or separation of details I have gone too far.  I always keep RGB in mind though because most of my output is for prints or web.  LAB can overcook the colors fast.

RE: Sample Size...For me it goes back to significance.  IF...the details you are looking at are significant then by all means work hard to save them.  Specular highlights and dappled shadows on the other hand may be best left as is; since by definition they are point sources and would lack any meaningful details.

Please refresh your version of Week 4.
Yesterday was Video Hell but I have them all produced and linked.

Greg, thanks. I read through week 4 again and watched the videos. Very well done.  It is so clear, that even I can understand. Thanks for expanding my vision and my mind.
I agree with the changes you suggest and looking forward to week 5.  You would not imagine hou many lights you've switched on for me, far wider than just CM and PS.
I'm really grateful

Hi
Finally back on board
Returned form holidays and thought out loud that my computer was getting old and may need replacement soon.
It heard and promptly stopped working the next day.
New one worked until I connected to wifi and then incompatibility issues meant it also stopped working.
Hopefully its all working now.
So tonight I watched the videos - really great.
Clear, concise and informative.
The video about creating and adjusting contrast is called 'black and white conversion'.
Had me confused for a minute.

The text is also mostly in black but there are small sections in grey.
I am going to read it closely tomorrow and will get back to you.

Thanks Julie.
I will be checking the fonts and text color the Website seems to have a mind of it's own when it comes to formatting.
"They Say"  Wordpress is WYSIWYG but it sure takes some getting used to.
