I added the Microsoft redistributables to this version, and fixed a problem that interfered with opening curve and pin files.  This may fix the crash problems that some of you were encountering.

I am still working on a problem remains with processing crash dumps.  If you encounter a crash, instead of sending a crash dump, Photoshop will shut down.

Hi Mike and Greg!  I have been using the 64 bit beta with CS5 on Windows 7 for a few weeks now without any real problems.  Just one hard crash a week or two ago that required me to reload.  However, I am now getting a dialogue box that says that the beta has expired.  What do I do?

Thanks,

Brian

My apologies.  I obviously need to cut a new version of the beta!  I will try to do this tonight.

One hiccup today.  CM appears to load, but the curve boxes don't show up and it does not respond.  Then it kicks me out to CS5, which is either frozen or  does not run CM.  Also getting a dialogue that says that command cannot be executed because of a program error.  I am going to reinstall this morning to see if that fixes the problem.  Its hard to tell for sure but what may have triggered the problem is that CM is trying to load a curve that applied to an image that was deleted after a prior session with CM.  Just a wild guess though.

Strange behavior continues.  I reloaded from the Curvemeister website ,,, no luck.  I uninstalled manually and then downloaded again from Curvemeister website again.  Again no luck.  I deleted Preference files in CS4 and CS5 and then tried again, no luck.  CM is freezing up in CS4 (both 32 bit and 64 bit) and CS5.  Other plug ins are working.  Any ideas what might be going on?

Does this problem take out the 32 bit version too?

I suggest that you go to control Panel>Programs and Features and try manually removing Curvemeister 3 support files.  This may un-register the ActiveX control and allow you to do a clean re-install.

Others have reported this problem, and I suspect that it has to do with the use of an ActiveX control for the curve control - once that gets out of kilter Curvemeister gets stuck, and uninstalling does not fix things.
