Mike,
Well...It went flawless...Congratulations!!!

My Install Path:
1) Win7 64 Bit with CS4.
2) Download and install the Visual C++ redistributable software.
3) Install CM 64 bit.

Plug in opens correctly and adjustments are being applied...now the fun begins...

Cool - this is good info once again.  Theoretically the installer should have the redistributables included, but they don't.  The next version will try to address this problem.

I made sure I used the 64 bit VC redistributalbe.  They are a separate download from the 32 bit version used for the other CM install.

Mike & Greg:

Can I assume that if I was up and running with 3.0.16, that I do not need to separately install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64) when downloading the latest beta?  I am running Win 7 Ultimate.  Is it possible it is already there in the Win 7 Ultimate edition? Or should I just download it regardless?

Thanks,

Brian

Finally some progress on this rocky x64 road!!! So where do I get hold of the latest, to try it?

I'd almost given up on using CM, I must admit, as my default PS use has long been the x64 version, and I consider it a PITA to have to close that and start the 32-bit version.

Brian,
Once you load the VC re-distributable it should be there for you.

Klaus,
If you follow the download link in one of the previous threads you should find the software...let me know if you cannot find it.

BTW - I'm working on a new version that I plan to have out today that includes the redistributables.

Sorry to be so thick Greg:

Is the answer, "yes you need to download the redistributables?"  And, if I do, are you saying that after that is done, (i.e., installing the redistributables) 3.0.16 will magically reappear?  Or should I just wait until Mike's done with the version he is currently working on?

Thanks,

Brian
