Any particular reason why there's now a PS version and a PSE version? Is that a technical issue, an installer issue, or the manifestation of some more interesting marketing thinking?

It's marketing thinking.  Elements costs just a fraction of Photoshop, so I'm trying a different pricing to see if more Elements folks will get on board.

That seems like a sensible idea, although ironically CM adds so much more value to Elements that it's the Elements version that should be more expensive. :)
