When the mask is shown the worms appear on the colour curves as normal. Does that make sense? I'd have thought that having the worm reflect the mask content would be more sensible, so there should only be one worm on the mask curve. I can image I'd want the double pin to work on my mask too, when that's shown.

I'm still new to masks, but this seems inconsistent and a missed feature opportunity.

You're absolutely right.  Double pinning would be good, Also thresholding and shadow and highlight are features that would make perfect sense to use on a mask.  For the moment, because of internal design issues, those features are restricted to images only, not masks.

I've noticed that I need to fuss around with the selected points with the double pin option to get them to rotate.

Sometimes I need to click in the top of the window frame, sometimes I need to click on one of the pins..other times I need to move the selected pair.

It just seems inconsistant some how..I have yet to make it fail though..that's a plus...just seems to be harder to get it started.

Does the double arrow-ed cursor show up in the margin of the curve?  At that point you should be able to click and start a rotate.

Hmmm - this is interesting.  Just the sort of thing  someone might run into unexpectedly

Looking at it a little differently,  I like that the curves continue to reflect the underlying image. That can still be useful information when adjusting the mask.
There could still be a worm on the mask curve...
