Thanks, Luc.  That gives me a clue that CurveCtl3.ocx has a problem, and perhaps is not installed correctly.

There are three files installed in the filter folder, instead of one.  This is due to the simpler logic of the new installer, which had to be re-implemented for 64 bit.

Another thing you could do that would be helpful would be to go into CS4 and selecte Help>About Plugin>Curvemeister 3 and see if the about box comes up, with version 3.0.13.

Yes it does I had checked before.
But I see only two files with dates of today or yesterday. See screen capture attached.

Re deployment problems with 64 bit.

I've made an installer for the test.exe program, and added another program called test0.
http://curvemeister.com/downloads/cm3_beta/CM_test64.zip

Start>All Programs>Curvemeister.com>CM_test64>test0 brings up a simple dialog with the word "Success" in it.   Test brings up a window containing a curve control.

If one or both of these programs works correctly, this will provide some insight on why Curvemeister3 is crashing on some 64 bit systems.

BTW - the missing third file is CrashRpt.dll.  It's mod time is in January, which is the date that I ported it to 64 bit.

Thanks!

The newer install of test.exe still fails to do anything?

This confirms that the problem - so far - is strictly with the ActiveX control.

Yes that is the case test = nothing
test0 = Success

I fixed an installer problem that affected both Curvemeister and the test programs.  CurveCtl3.ocx was not being registered, which caused Curvemeister to get an error during initialization.

Please download CM_64_3.0.13b.zip from the beta area and give it a try.

Works like a charm.
Will use during the coming week and report anything funny.
Now that you have some spare time  ;) you can start thinking about USM on the L* channel while in Curvemeister maybe with high pass filter too.... :D :D

Cheers,

Luc

Great!  Glad that was the bottleneck.

Re USM, etc on individual channels.  This is a great idea, and is a serious possibility for Curvemeister 4.

Next step, though is to deal with any bugs that you and others find, and to get the corresponding 32 bit release ready for release.
