Hi
I think the translation is ok
If I use piccure and then move the image to a folder of my choice keywords can not be added in photoshop.
If I use piccure and choose a folder keywords can not be added.

I have given up and used Lightroom and synced it with bridge.

My only problem is Lightroom is saving a version of every edit.
I end up with lots of images in Lightroom and bridge.
Original plus Lightroom adjustments plus Nik adjustments plus piccure plus photoshop
I must be doing something wrong
I will post a screen shot after work tonight.

Thanks
Julie

Hi Julie,

hm, strange...
I tryed tonight with a new picture.
Open first with piccure, save in the folder piccure wants, open from there in ps, retouch and add keywords.
Then save again in another folder. Works. All metadata and keywords are there.
A miracle...
Oh, wait... I start with noise reduction in DXO.
I will try again without this step...

Thanks for trying to help me.
Can you see if you are able to add new keywords in bridge after doing all that.

Hi Julie,

I don't know, how to add keywords in Bridge.
But I load directly from the piccure folder into ps without DXO and it works there.
Maybe you try this way, till the plugin is fixed.

Julie,
Just to close the loop on my part of this...

Is your Curvemeister working now?

Is Picure+ still broken?

Remember that when you get a new version of Photoshop it usually resets your preferences so...
Your choices for Bridge and PS with tags and stacks will be reset.
Some of your plugins will need to be moved into the new install.
Your tool preferences and settings will reset.
Your mouse settings, memory and other configuration settings will all be reset.
Your default color space and color profiles will be rest.

Some of the issues you are describing are related to those re-sets.

Start a note for yourself of all the things you set or re-set and save it somewhere you will remember it. Next time you will have a checklist of items to verify when you update.

Hi
Great idea about keeping a list
I was able to reset most stuff easily but there may be a few surprises in the coming weeks.
I had to download the PPW stuff as well as I use the sharpening regularly

Curvemeister is working and my world is one again wonderful.

piccure still remains a mystery. It's fine as long as I let it choose the folder and don't move the image.
If I choose or move it all keywords are gone and I cannot add any. As my catalogue grows I am adding more and more keywords. Not being able to do this is a problem for me.

I am just going to wait patiently for them to fix it

I am now learning how to use Lightroom in the meantime
It seems fairly interchangeable with bridge and I can get to piccure from there.
I don't know why it is saving every edit but I will eventually figure it out
In the mean time I just delete what I don't want

It's been a saga and I think it must be very frustrating for those with lots of plugins and settings

Thanks to all who helped me.
I was feeling like a grumpy old woman resenting change.
My Wacom should arrive today so another thing to learn!

No screen shots after work yet. It was not a good day and I couldn't face turning on the computer.
