New versions of Curvemeister are available in the customer download area for Photoshop 32 and 64 bit, and Elements 32 bit.  There is also a new demo version.

Changes include

• the ability to move your pin file folder, reset permissions, and merge your pin files. 


• improved S channel thresholding in HSB mode

I think you'll be fine, with either Elements 3 or Photoshop CS3.

I notice in the announcement that there is a new feature on the HSB colorspace.  There is now threshold on the saturation curve, like lightness in LAB, or RGB master curve.  I fooled around with it a while on a problem image.  I liked the results better than the the color intensity slide in LAB in this case. 

Nice addition to the tool box.

The idea came from Lee Harper and myself looking for a way to control saturation and look for areas that went to far before we applied the CM adjustments...we see so many possible uses for this we are working hard to figure them all out...
some things we have noted...

You can for instance....
1) Use it to make a mask...
    a) for a sky with clouds...you can protect the clouds while saturating the sky.
    b) create a mask based on saturation to help you control over over saturated areas.
    c) use it like a skin mask to protect the skin tones while saturating an image.

2) Use it to adjust the overall saturation of the image to keep parts from going to far and bumping the saturation on areas that are too weak.

Let us know if you find any new and interesting uses...

Thanks for this. I only downloaded this version today and the result is different from the Lab. Still abit foreign to me, but will play more over the next week or so. Again thanks for widening our horizon with the improvements.

I hope I picked the right thread.

I used windows 7 64 bit and Photoshop CS5. I tried getting the 3.4.1 update through the autoupdater but even though it seemed to download the correct version, I got an error message that the version wasn't compatible. When I logged in here and did a manual download, everything went perfectly. I'm not sure where the bug is but I thought I'd report it.

Thanks again for Curvemeister, it's indispensable for me.

Someone else mentioned this - there may be a problem with the download image.  I will check this out and post back here.
