W7 RAW file thumbnail viewer (icon only in W7)

Found a useful program you'd like to share with others? Commercial announcements are fine, but please keep it brief.

I just installed W7 and found that I no longer have a thumbnail image of RAW files. Just a icon. There is a program, Fast Picture Viewer, that solves the problem by providing the Codex for most RAW files. Its a bit slow opening a big folder with many large raw files but not unbearable. One version is called "donationware" where they suggest that if you end up keeping the pgm that you provide a reasonable donation.

BTW, I downloaded the Canon Codex that was supposed to solve the problem for the Canon files but it did not.
Thanks Joe S

here is the Nikon Link for it's Raw file codec.  32 bit only so far....
http://nikonimglib.com/nefcodec/

Here is a link to the Canon Codec.

After install these should allow you to use the windows viewer with your CR2 files or Nikon NEF files.

Greg, apparently you did not read the message closely. I tried the  Codecs you note and they DO NOT work on my 64 system.

Greg, are you running and installing pgms  as the "administrator"? On the DP review Canon and Nikon forums the only person I found that had the Codecs working were those who installed them on Virtual XP. I had to remove them from my system. Fast Picture Viewer was a easy solution.
