Experiment for 29Aug discussion

Took an image with X-Rite Color-checker in image. One was edited with CS6 and the help of CM; the other with Affinity Photo. I just used the neutrals on the card. Very interesting is that the skin colour of my hand is wrong. My monitor was calibrated yesterday and both the HUE clock numbers and holding my hand next to image on screen confirm that. I do not have a cock-eyed skin colour :D
I don't know how to sort the sequence of the images here. No1 with CM, No2 with AP and last one original

I fist took this image and edited it a bit. Straight out of camera without any colour correction. The colour just did not look right, its too red; I thought it was more orange so I then took the color checker to make sure the colour is correct, but its not so easy and straight forward. Lets tear this apart

Martin,

What's wrong with your skin color? Somewhat too red maybe?
It seems that the ambient light had a yellow cast to it, so when you set neutrals on the gray squares there would have been a shift to the blue, which may have shifted the overall tones somewhat to the red...

Just a thought.

Are both systems outputting to the same color space and profile?

Here I've created an ICC profile from ON1 to X-checker program and applied it to the image. Everything look so much better here, except the wall is too yellow. The colour of my hand and the flowers is more realistic
Yes, same colour space, but last one had profile, previously I just use the neutrals on the card
