When It is cold and the forecast is for a foot of snow by the end of the week...

These all strike me as "snow in a different form"
What I like about them is how dynamic they are. But they're dynamic the way a painting is, not the way a photograph capturing a moving image is. Even the third one, which is closer to realism. The third one feels like one step away from a painting, or maybe a very realistic painting, while the other two have crossed over into painting territory.
I especially like the second one. It's perfect just as it is, and really beautiful.
The first one, I want to rotate and see what happens And I'm not sure about the crop -- it feels like the top is a bit squashed and maybe some more headroom would actually emphasize the water more?
