I quite like this but I cant get it to where it is in my head (life is a bit like that sometimes)
am i deluding myself?

I like this one a lot. I'm not sure this edit is an improvement -- I found I couldn't really get to where I wanted it to be, either I began with the thought that I wanted to straighten it and bring out the contrasts, but I'm not sure that helped.

It's a very interesting wall -- like architecture with plate tectonics.

This just seemed like the obvious place to take it
