only saw the hornet for the first time on my computer screen

Outstanding image! A perfect example of being in the "right place at the right time.". However, we will probably see more of this kind of "luck" in the future according to this video: https://vimeo.com/56241602#

Yeah, there is only that pesky $12,000 price tag blocking my way. I will have to wait until Canon puts it in the "point n shoots."

Hi

Amazing image.
Christmas in Hobart was warm, then cold, then warm, then it rained, then it was sunny and hot.
A normal day in Hobart, Tasmania.
Keeps visitors guessing, locals just pack everything.

Hi

Been busy at work but will do something on the weekend
Your image looks a lot like places in Tasmania

hi everyone

these are not my favourite or best shots but they were my most challenging.
This is a bike race in tasmania and I have never tried to photograph a sport before
Was not sure how to manage the crowd, changing light, movement, colour and the need to be quick and ready all the time
Focusing was a huge problem for me
In the end I managed a few that I was happy with for a first attempt
I will be there next year and more prepared

Very well done...
Action via telephoto takes patience and timing....
