Every year in the beginning of august , there is a big Gay-canal parade in Amsterdam ( the Netherlands or Holland)
you can see some pictures on :

You can also see eleven ( 11) small movies made with a foto-camera DCF828 to get a impression of the happening!

A day before the Canal parade there was a very nice flower show on boats on the canals in Vlaardingen, a town near Rotterdam.


I have placed some pictures  on the gallery.

Thanks Frits!  Very nice images.  I like the viewpoint that you took them from - the boats stand out more.

it was diificult. Then there where people in front of me!
Als there came a stong contrast in the pictures.
So I used Curvemeister often, but spent not much time each picture.
SoI think they are nice to me and others.

I can imagine how crowded it must have been.  I think your images this year are even better than last year's.

I went to the Canal-parade the last 10  years, but I think, it was this year  the last one.
They have each year less inspiration to come with something spectaculars.
Also, the town mayor is debit on this. They have less freedom to do.

I have taken away the .wmv files from my homepage-space.
When you like it , I can send you the .wmv files  a total of 10 pieces with a total of 28 MB. with "yoursendit"
I have also the original  .mpg files , but they are each very big and 640 x 480.

once a year ,  I think.
Perhaps I do that, placing them om your Tube.
