I've tried Curvemeister with Photoshop CS3 beta and it seems to be working just fine. It seems to be working just as it did in CS2. Well, it may be working a bit faster. Everything else in CS3 seems to work MUCH faster than it did in CS2. Even plugins seem to run a tad faster; that may just be the getting in and out that's faster, but that's fine. Significant speed is worth an upgrade all by itself. Hey, how fast will the final version be if a code-heavy beta runs way faster than the old version?
BTW, I didn't reinstall CM into CS3, I just copied what was in my CS2 plugin folder to the CS3 plugin folder. I didn't remove CS2 and installed CS3 in a different location. I figured that CM install might get a bit confused.
CS3 has an improved Curves tool. When I heard that, I wondered if they brought it up to the Curvemeister level. Well, it isn't. It is better than the old Curves, but not even close to Curvemeister. So, it doesn't change anything for me.
Actually, my Focus Magic and Noise Ninja plugins work just fine in CS3 also. I also just copied those. I don't know if we can conclude that CS3 hasn't changed anything with plugins or not.
Thanks,
Clyde
Curvemeister with CS3 beta
Thanks, Clyde for mentioning this. CS3 did not cause any problems with Curvemeister 2, and Curvemeister 1 also works.
BTW, the CS3 beta is a free download. If you are an owner of CS2, the beta will be good until the actual release of CS3 next year - not bad! For everyone else, the beta will work for two days a quick peek only.
