Hello everyone and a belated happy new year to you all. I've read quite a bit about Dan Margulis' book on the LAB colour space in this (and other) forum. I'm making an assumption that to get the best from his book, one would need the full version of Photoshop (CS4, CS5 etc). Is my ass...

Hi Lee,
Yes, you are right; it is a little on the dark side. I've lightened it a tad (a metric tad, that is!) and upped the saturation a little. Regards, Niels.

I took a swipe at this one. Inverted a K mask then desat in LAB to remove the cast in the shadows. Duplicate layer; denoise in Topaz then add a multiply blend mode (cheat, cheat) in PSE7. Duplicate layer and adjust contrast and saturation in LAB. Regards, Niels Rasmussen

Hi all. This is my take. I tend to take lots of little bites when curving; make a change here, save then make another pass etc. In so doing, I easily lose track of all the individual steps involved. Suffice to say, after some initial noodling in Topaz denoise, most of the work was done in the darker...

Hi Mike, the only pin file I could find was in C/documents and settings/all users/application data/curvemeister.com/curvemeister3 elements/library.... Is this the right place to look? I couldn't find anything in program files. The file was marked as read only, but when I unchecked the box and h...

Hello everyone. I recently updated my CM to v3.3.5 and (aside from some teething problems) everything works fine. However, I don't seem to be able to save my pins. I'm entering them exactly as I did on my old version, but when I exit CM and then re-open they disappear! Hope you can help. M...

Hi Mike. I took your advice and reinstalled v. 3.3.5. You were also right about the uninstaller leaving traces of the older CM. I had to go through and delete any bits that I found here and there before reinstalling. The main CM screen now shows v.3.3.5. and the help/plug-in menu also confirms this....

Hiya Mike, many thanks for the prompt reply. This has really got me puzzled; when I bring up the main screen in CM, it shows the older version 3.0.8.0 (i.e. the version originally installed on my computer) but looking at the add/remove programs in the windows control panel shows the latest u...

Hello everyone, I'm new on this forum but I've been using Curvemeister for some time now. I decided to update from vers. 3.0.8.0 to the latest version. Never had a problem ever with Curvemeister until this update. Now, when I click on Curvemeister in the filter menu, the main screen pops u...
