Once again Julie it is a qualified "it depends" Try it out on some images and see if the 8 bit version loses anything. Most people will say it does. I would say it depends. Look for an uneven sky and gradients across smooth surfaces. Is storage an issue? if so you could add another drive t...

For me I look to what I saw when I shot. Did it appear to be blue?? It's a subjective call but if that's how you remember; it it then becomes how do you want to see it.
