Thanks again Greg.

Lizard tail sort of equals highlight shadows?

Apply red channel inverted to the mask and blur, then lizard tail sort of equals Bigger hanmmer?

Got my new monitor! Nice. I will fool around for a while then post.

Thanks for posting the videos. good refresher. When I did some scans, often I ran into crushed highlights and shadows. I had a custom firm do it. I think it was a wrong gamma. I always ran shadow highlights or CM to fix. The colors were approximately okay, if I remember. Not grossly off. But ...

Sorry OT, the coloredge are expensive. The Flexscan are much more reasonable. Very similar in prices to the NEC, although the models I mentioned can be found for 25% less. I do want a better monitor, one that is designed to be calibrated and used in color critical places.

BTW. I am searching for a new monitor.... The correction here is not good. My gamma is poor and the de2000 is very high. I have spent several hours and cannot get it close to tolerance. I need to get back to real correction.

I think I will go mainstream with a NEC pa 241 or 271.

This was done with my laptop. I avoid any colorful corrections with it. I was frustrated with my desktop.

You may ignore the following rant.

==============

Desktop issues- halfway through. Answer is probably a new monitor. I have a dual monitor setup...
