Hi Tanja,

Your new car photo is looking good, particularly because you always obtain a very naturalistic modelling of objects -- dimensionality and solidity-- in your photos which is extremely appealing but which eludes me. I'm eager to learn.

Like you, in addition to Det...

As white as possible without losing shape and form...

Hi Tanja,

Yes, I can see that the hues are not quite what you're aiming for. A valiant effort nevertheless! I'm looking forward to seeing your next version.
By the way, have you tried Topaz InFocus? You can sometimes obtain even more subtle sharpening than with Detail, if n...

Hi Dan,

I use PS Elements as well (v.10). When you re-size an image make sure that the three boxes in the bottom left hand corner are all checked. Then just type in the width you're using (1024), click on OK, and that's all you have to do. The Document Size boxes are only for p...

Hi Tanja,

With the neutral point set in the road and the brightness adjusted upwards your car is no longer yellow and I think has much better natural looking definition than mine. Much more of a 3 dimensional look which I like a lot. If you could re-do whatever you did, with less saturat...

Hi Tanja,

No false profile. Just a lot of curving -- trial and error, and more errors, etc.
Also used Topaz InFocus and DeNoise, with masking.

Your image is excellent -- just try setting a neutral pin on the road in the lower left hand corner where it will appear most grey...

Hi Tanja,

Yes, you're right of course, control-z undoes the last change to the curve but not the image (maybe this is a bug in the program?). In order to reset the image you have to next click on "compare" in the lower right hand corner. An alternative: just pressing delete on the ke...

Hi Tanja,

Just realized that what I wrote about the neutral pin was not correct. I right-click on the pin itself, disable it, and then move it out of the way. I don't know why the delete option is not active. (?)

Cheers,
