Thanks a lot for all the advice, I am beginning to see a tiny spot of light in the tunnel ;D
I've really opened the taps now, but I think it is too much saturation and I don't know how to get rid of the blue ears and noses.

Good day, Firstly, when I open one of my downloaded images is PS CS2 I get an "embedded profile mismatch" message with 3 choices. What is the correct way to handle this? (Attachment 1)
My image: I firstly converted it to 16 bits/channel, then did Luminosity Masking (Earhbound Light) whereafter ...

Greg, I first payed in LAB, saved and then in HSB. As far as the wet look: it is running away from me, getting frombad to worse. I think I manage to improve the highlights on the head and back, but the colours are winning me. Thanks again for all your energy and trouble and time with us mortal stude...

I tried this one in LAB. Then I sharpened with unsharp mask (Am 20%; Rad 60; Thr 5) to boost the overall contrast. After that Smart sharpen 50%; 0.5pix under Lens Blur. It is quite amazing how dramatically the image change with only small movements of the curve.

Hope you do not pull all your hair out :) I tried to find the real neutral point with the hue clock, where the values of L =50 and the a and b chanel's 0. I saved and opened in HSB where I saturated a bit more.

Thanks so much for this wonderful forum. I'm learning a lot from reading the the other participants' messages. Greg, I understand that I am not restricted to CM only but can use other functions in PS also
Here, I first did Luminosity Masking (Bob Johnson of Earthbound light.. where I ...

I put the highlight up between the buildings, the shadow on the waterline of left boat and neutral on the grey box left lower. (L) Looking at the light reflection against the buildings looks like late afternoon or early morning, thus I would expect warm tint, therefore I added some red. I also trie...

See on screenshot my shadow, highlight and neutral points, in Lightness channel of LAB. Saturation is 1.4
Problem is I see a little green tint on the scull. In example01w I added a little red and reduced green a bit in the RGB channel (same image as a second stage). I still feel very unsure. Pe...

Greg, thanks. I first downsized the image to 180k and then started by thresholding it in the LAB space, L Channel. Saturated to 1.50. I also smartsharpen image 150% Radius 0.5pixels (Remove Lens Blur). Of course the size was up to 265k so I downsized it again. The result look better. I really find ...

The thresholdingprocess in LAB colour space (Lightness). I did lift the curve a tiny bit in the middle to lighten the image. Saturated to boost the yellow colour
