It is not so easy to deside where on the skin to pin the skin colour to, but here it is.
Aftewards I used unsharp mask (40 40 thr 5) to push the contrast up.

Thanks Mike, I've lizard tailed (good English?) the highlight to show more detail and pushed the darker threshold a minute bit in.
Thanks for the PS detail, I will set mine up like that.

I followed the video example of Mike: first in RGB and used the lowermost example and pinned the skincolour to that. saved then into LAB and set the highlight and a lizard tail to brighten the detail in the shadows. Lastly I sharpened. When I "saved for the web" to reduce the size of the image, eve...

I chose the second skintone example from the top which gave me 77 12 18 on the hue clock whereafter I pinned it to the neck area and moved the curves to those values. (saved) LAB again and thresholding and a lizard tail to get more detail out of the shadows.

Here is my effort. Perhaps still a bid too red, but the blue in the shadows left lower are no more.
Played between LAB (save) LAB again (save) RGB (save) HSB and then sharpened.
Cheers

Mike, I added a tad of red and saturated a bit more, so less green fur.
I am unsure about: looking at a specific area with the hue clock and you get numeric values as well as the arm. How do you change colour to a specific value on the clock? For instance looking at another image and you want t...

Greg, I saw the solution for example 6 and I'm OK, so no need to post it here. My example5 I started with it in LAB, saved LAB again, but tit had a reddish tint which I tried to reduce in RGB. The demon eyes I treated with HSB. I'm not happy with the result, but tahis was my best effort. A...

This one is very difficult :P I think I begin to understand how to lighten up shadows and darken highlights by means of the lizard tail in LAB. Here, after changing to RGB, trying to get the blue out of the shadows cause the grass tops and green plants change colour. Even the sky get a reddish tint....

Only in LAB (see attached sreenshot) I sharpened in Unsharp mask (60 40 Thres=5) to boost the overall contrast a bit.

Ganna,
Look to the shadows...are they neutral or blue?? one of the thnigs you need to do to this image is get the blue out of the shadows while making the rest of the image look good...oh and the sky stays blue too....

Greg
I tried by putting a neutral point o...
