Was led a lot by Greg and Julie. Difficult for me to judge, because I'm not that comfortable with abstract type of images. Questions of what does it make you feel and what story do you read in it, I don't know, I feel dumb, uneducated, incompetent and plain stupid concerning this one :D I gave it 10...

Thanks a lot for your reply Tildy. The white frame happened when I posted it here. When I do put a frame around its normally about 2 pixels.The reason we do it, is when you project it in the club on a screen, darker areas often blend in with surrounding area and its difficult to see where the image ...

Julie, I'm not sure about Nikon lenses, but for example look at: Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 Macro Lens (1-5X) and it will give you a good idea

Yes Julie. There are different types of dedicated macro lenses and some can give you magnification as well

Portrature and macro. I will be interested to hear about this. Is it a special lens or could you just use a normal 105? Julie, I think Greg is loafing somewhere :D Macro lens is a specialized lens with a very short focusing distance, but you can use it for "normal" distance images as well...

From the top of Sani pass, looking from Lesotho back into KZN province (South Africa). Pano from 3 images and worked on to lessen the harsh shadow with Dan Margulis' heavy hammer treatment and of course our friend CM to finish it off :) I'dd also played with ON1 Photo Raw, but I would need more time...

We visited people living less than a mile from the highest point in Southern Africa, nearly 11000 feet above mean sea level, called the roof of Africa. Very cold and sort of moon landscape with absolutely no trees and interesting plants growing at that height in the "thin" air.
