Hi Folks,

Here's a question that's been on my mind for a long time......

When I use a curve (e.g. master in RGB) which darkens part of an image, it also subjectively seems to increase the saturation. (E.g. I has a sunset picture including the sunset light reflecting...

Hi Mike and all,

I've been really appreciating all the cool things I've found to do with CM3 - its great!

One thing I've been doing is using a Hue mask to apply adjustments just to a range of colors. It can involve a bit of guesswork though - if I'm making ...

i first heard of curvemeister through googling "elements curves" (when I was appalled to discover the lack of curves in photoshop elements!). that did (and does) take you straight to luminous landscapes - so i'd definitely give bob johnson a shout.

you could well be on to it - I do have the (microsoft) mouse driver set to automatically move to default button in a dialogue. but that only seems to happen when I click on the invert-mask button.

great idea Ann.

Here are some thoughts, firstly ideas for making it easier to learn curvemeister:
* more wizards. no doubt we all have 'recipies' we often follow in CM.... perhaps a selection of wizards could replicate these recipies for newcomers. e.g. a hot candidate ...

Mike - while you're writing documentation....

When you wrote
Double pinning ..... is an older version of the term pinning, which refers to any automated way of creating curve control points
(in "ctrl-z and curve rotation" reply #1)

realisatio...

I clicked on invert mask, then clicked again (can't think why, maybe it seemed like first one didn't work). CM3 closed & returned to PS, saving changes. Thought at first it was a crash..... but on closer inspection, what's happening is that after clicking on invert-mask, mouse jumps...

yep, its fixed, great!

but......

now if I double-pin, rotate (either H or B of HSB.... same for L of Lab) then undo, I lose the pins as well as the rotation. It work fine if I double-pin, rotate one curve then rotate another.

Topic: undo paste of curves?

i've just pasted a curve and ctrl-z doesn't do anything..... but if you hit ctrl-z again it undoes fine!
If I adjust a curve, paste and then undo, it skips back to before the adjustment, not to before the paste.
(I guess that means paste isn't logging into undo history?)
