Curvemeister.com was founded in March 2002 by Michael Russell, a graphics software engineer living in Berkeley CA. The company's first product, the Curvemeister Photoshop plugin for Windows, is designed to streamline and simplify the "by the numbers" color correction long promoted by Dan Margulis in his book, Professional Photoshop. Dan is the godfather of Curvemeister.

Curvemeister shipped on December 21, 2003.

Curvemeister offers beginners a "kinder and gentler" curves interface. In addition to an easier to use curve interface, Curvemeister provides a color wizard to accompany first and second timers through the steps required for basic image correction. As a direct result of the simplicity provided by an advanced interface, beginners are encouraged to use this basic and powerful tool.

For experienced graphics professionals, Curvemeister provides a number of carefully selected enhancements, including the ability set shadow, highlight, and neutral points quickly and without manual calculation, unlimited sample points, and the ability to work in multiple color spaces at the same time.

• Curvemeister, v1.1.2 shipped on March 21, 2004.
• Curvemeister v1.1.8 shipped on May 7, 2004.
